As well as being a child therapist, I am the mother to three children ages 7, 9 and 15. When I a not in therapy sessions, I am running after my kids and providing parents support and education on anxiety and OCD through my site AnxiousToddlerstoTeens.com, my podcast and my YouTube channel.

My practice is dedicated to helping kids with anxiety and OCD. I am the author of How to Parent Your Anxious Toddler and Anxiety Sucks! A Teen Survival Guide (affil links).

I am a regular contributor to Huffington Post, PsychCentral and The Mighty, as well as other parenting magazines and sites.

I received my Masters in Social Work from Arizona State University in 2000. I received my post-graduate training from Arizona State University’s Harris Institute in infant and toddler mental health. I have over eighteen years of experience working with children and teens. I am an active member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) and have attended both the Behavior Therapy Training Institute’s (BTTI) general advanced OCD training and their pediatric advanced training taught by the top OCD researchers in the field.

I have worked in many arenas throughout my career which has sharpened my skills and knowledge. I have worked in the foster care and adoption world, I have worked at clinics doing in-home therapy and I have worked at residential treatment centers with some of those most mentally ill children.

I have been in the field since 2000. In 2005 I found my permanent home, when I created Hill Child Counseling. In my practice I have had the privledge of watching children go from toddlers to teens to young adults. I have been a friendly, supportive face for kids as they have hit bumps and challenges throughout their childhood.
